Purpose

The Ads Brain – Campaign Testing Checklist ensures that all advertising experiments launched by Ads Brain are configured correctly before activation.

Advertising experiments must follow structured launch discipline so that performance signals remain reliable, interpretable, and useful for downstream review.

This checklist exists to prevent common setup mistakes that distort testing results, waste capital, and contaminate campaign learning.

A campaign may look “live-ready” while still being structurally unfit for testing.

This page exists to stop that.

Scope

This protocol applies to:

• pre-launch advertising experiment checks
• campaign setup validation
• creative readiness review
• landing-page alignment review
• tracking verification
• audience configuration checks
• campaign-setting validation
• compliance review before launch
• experiment logging before activation
• governance-safe launch readiness confirmation

This document governs what Ads Brain must verify before a test campaign is launched.

It does not govern:

• offer approval
• capital allocation approval
• final survivability authority
• live post-launch optimisation logic
• Finance Brain override
• Affiliate Brain structural approval
• statistical validation by itself

Those remain governed by:

• Affiliate Brain
• Finance Brain
• Experimentation Brain
• SIT Brain
• HeadOffice
• related Ads Brain systems

Core Principle

Incorrect campaign setup produces misleading signals.

Misleading signals produce bad decisions.

Bad decisions waste capital and damage system learning.

Ads Brain must verify campaign configuration before any advertising experiment begins.

A campaign is not test-ready because it exists.

A campaign is test-ready only when the checklist is complete.

Checklist Position in Workflow

The Campaign Testing Checklist sits here in the operational flow:

Opportunity Approved for Test

Creative Brief Complete

Creative Assets Prepared

Experiment Structure Defined

Campaign Testing Checklist

Launch

Campaign Review

Decision Engine

This means the checklist is the final structural gate before launch.

Pre-Launch Checklist

1. Offer Validation

Confirm the following:

• offer is approved by Affiliate Brain
• lifecycle stage is confirmed as Approved for Test
• structural testing conditions are defined
• offer tracking links are verified
• destination URL is correct
• offer branch being tested is clearly identified

If offer status is unclear, launch must not proceed.

2. Creative Preparation

Confirm the following:

• minimum of three advertisements prepared where appropriate
• each advertisement uses a distinct hook type or defined test variable
• creative messaging aligns with landing-page promise
• visual assets are verified and rendered correctly
• creative format matches the selected platform
• creative file names or IDs are recorded
• creative differences are intentional, not accidental

If creative variation is vague, the test is weak before launch.

3. Creative Brief Alignment

Confirm the following:

• creative brief exists
• selected angle is declared
• selected hook category is declared
• creative pattern structure is declared
• primary variable under test is clear
• creative output matches the brief rather than drifting from it

A creative should not launch if the brief and final asset no longer match.

4. Landing Page Alignment

Confirm the following:

• landing page loads correctly
• hook promise is consistent with landing-page headline
• message angle aligns with page promise
• primary call-to-action is visible and clear
• mobile layout is verified
• page speed is acceptable for the platform context
• no obvious page-break or display errors exist

If landing-page promise and ad promise conflict, signal quality is compromised.

5. Tracking Integrity

Confirm the following:

• affiliate links are verified
• tracking parameters are confirmed
• click tracking is confirmed
• conversion tracking is enabled where applicable
• test identifiers are applied correctly
• source/medium/campaign naming logic is consistent
• no broken redirect path exists
• no duplicate tracking structure is contaminating attribution

Broken or unclear tracking must never be mistaken for market failure.

6. Audience Configuration

Confirm the following:

• target audience is defined
• audience targeting is verified
• audience overlap is avoided across test groups
• location targeting is confirmed
• device targeting is intentional
• exclusions are checked where relevant
• targeting matches experiment design rather than guesswork

Audience contamination weakens experiment interpretation.

7. Campaign Settings

Confirm the following:

• campaign objective is aligned with experiment design
• daily budget is verified
• campaign naming system is applied
• ad scheduling is verified
• bidding approach matches the testing objective
• platform placement settings are intentional
• optimisation settings match the test structure
• duplicate campaigns are not accidentally competing

Incorrect settings often produce false learning.

8. Platform Compliance

Confirm the following:

• ad copy is reviewed for policy compliance
• creative assets comply with platform rules
• landing page policy compliance is verified
• claims, health language, earnings language, or restricted content is checked where relevant
• no obvious compliance-risk wording remains in the campaign

A campaign that risks platform rejection is not test-ready.

9. Experiment Logging

Confirm the following:

• experiment is recorded in Experiment Registry
• campaign is documented in Campaign Runbook
• test variables are defined in Creative Testing Workflow
• primary hypothesis is recorded
• launch date is recorded
• intended decision thresholds are known
• related creative IDs or asset references are logged

If the experiment is not logged, learning continuity is broken before launch.

10. Governance Check

Confirm the following:

• campaign remains within Finance constraints
• campaign remains within experiment boundaries
• no governance layer is being bypassed
• no unapproved scale condition is hidden inside launch settings
• no multi-variable confusion violates testing discipline
• the campaign is structurally appropriate for this lifecycle stage

If governance or experiment integrity is unclear, launch must pause.

Final Launch Confirmation

Before launching any campaign, Ads Brain must confirm that all checklist items have been completed.

Campaigns launched without completing the checklist may produce unreliable testing data and damage downstream decision quality.

The final launch state must be one of the following:

Launch Approved
All checklist sections complete.

Launch Held
One or more checklist sections incomplete.

Launch Escalated
A governance, capital, experiment, or structural issue requires review outside Ads Brain authority.

Launch Failure Conditions

Launch must not proceed if any of the following are true:

• offer is not Approved for Test
• experiment variable is unclear
• creative brief is missing
• tracking is broken or uncertain
• landing page is misaligned
• audience contamination exists
• platform settings do not match test intent
• compliance risk is unresolved
• experiment logging has not been completed
• Finance or governance boundaries are unclear

These are structural stop conditions.

Recording Requirement

Each checklist completion should record:

• campaign name
• date checked
• operator or reviewer
• launch status
• unresolved items if any
• escalation note if required

This creates launch-readiness history rather than relying on memory.

Relationship to Creative Testing Workflow

The Creative Testing Workflow defines how creatives move through testing stages.

The Campaign Testing Checklist confirms that the campaign is clean enough to enter that workflow without contaminating signal.

Relationship to Ad Testing Velocity Framework

Testing speed is valuable only when setup quality is intact.

This checklist prevents speed from degrading structure.

Velocity without readiness creates noise.

Relationship to Campaign Runbook

The Campaign Runbook governs how live campaigns are monitored.

The Campaign Testing Checklist governs whether the campaign is ready to become live in the first place.

Relationship to Experiment Registry

The Experiment Registry records the test.

The checklist confirms that the recorded test matches the actual campaign configuration.

Relationship to Finance Brain

Finance Brain governs capital exposure.

The checklist confirms the campaign is operating inside those constraints.

It does not grant spending authority.

Relationship to Experimentation Brain

Experimentation Brain protects test integrity.

The checklist helps preserve that integrity before launch by preventing overlapping, vague, or structurally weak tests.

Final Rule

Advertising experiments must remain structured and controlled.

Campaign discipline ensures that Ads Brain learns from every experiment and avoids unnecessary capital loss.

A campaign is not ready because the assets are uploaded.

A campaign is ready only when the checklist is complete.

Drift Protection

The system must prevent:

• campaigns launching without offer approval
• creatives launching without clear hook differentiation
• landing pages misaligned with ad promise
• broken or incomplete tracking being mistaken for market failure
• overlapping audiences contaminating test interpretation
• campaign activation without experiment logging
• non-compliant ads entering paid traffic tests
• launch decisions being rushed because operators are eager to “just test it”
• vague experiment setups entering market with no usable learning path

A campaign is not test-ready unless the checklist is complete.

Architectural Intent

Ads Brain – Campaign Testing Checklist exists to make campaign launch quality consistent across the MWMS ecosystem.

Its role is to ensure that Ads Brain begins each advertising experiment from a clean, validated starting point so signal interpretation remains trustworthy, capital waste is reduced, and downstream review systems can rely on the data that follows.
